INTRODUCTION: HEALING EMOTIONAL PAIN
I wrote Emotional Health: The Secret for Freedom from Drama, Trauma, and Pain over a period of fifteen years and based it on my life experiences, as well as those of over 15 other people through learning methods of healing emotional pain.
I, like many people, suppressed my emotions for most of my life. I took on the role of the invisible child in my alcoholic family and kept everything inside because I felt unsafe and afraid of my father’s violence.
I have dedicated my life discovering and healing emotional pain for myself and others emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
ABOUT THE BOOK
I have emerged from a journey of over forty years learning how to recognize, feel, express and healing emotional pain.
I wrote the original of this book working 5 days a week for 2 years. Then I left it for 10 years as I felt it was too spiritual and people would have little interest in only my story. I then got inspired and interviewed people for about a year to discover what methods worked for them in overcoming their life challenges and healing emotional pain. I discarded most of my original book and rewrote and rewrote a number of times. I then had it edited by a professional and rewrote from her suggestions for another year.
I share my experiences so you may find methods in this book that will help educate you and assist you to tailor make a program that helps heal your pain and trauma.
