Indigo Adults
Guidelines for Indigo Adults indicate they came in about 1950 – 1972. My birth, however, occurred August 19, 1945. I never considered or knew myself to be an Indigo Child. Recently, it dawned on me that, Yes, I am an Indigo. Indigo’s often have been described as Warriors. They come in to break down old matrices and systems of control and power that no longer serve the common good.

I describe a following signs in reference to myself. These signs, however, apply also to other Indigo Adults. More signs also exist.
Indigo Adults and Children
4. Feelings of Existential Despair, Depression and or Helplessness
As an Indigo Adult, I experienced low grade depression and helplessness for a good part of my life. For 2/3’s of my life, I repressed and kept most of my thoughts and feeling to myself.
It remains difficult for me to accept the harm, suffering and violence to other human’s and the Earth by those in power.
5. Feelings of Being Different and Separate
Much of my life I felt different and separate. Even in groups, I felt separate. Because of my focus on inner healing, higher knowledge and spirituality, I rarely spoke to most people about it. People judged me as cold and uncaring – “stone faced.” I repressed and kept all my thoughts and feeling to myself.
At times later in life, some in my early 30’s, mid 40’s and mid 50’s onward when I engaged more in my life purpose my mood lightened. Today, I feel excitement and gratitude as I enjoy assisting people to clear negativity, heal and gain clarity on their purpose.
6. Experience Spiritual Experiences and Synchronicities
As I mentioned earlier, I have had an interest in spirituality from 24 years of age. In the 90’s, I taught Energy and Angel Healing for 4 years. I started meditating at 25. I have had numerous spiritual experiences and also, I connect with higher spiritual beings.
7. Have a Strong Drive to Find Life Purpose
As a teen, college student and as an adult, I experienced a burning desire to find my life purpose. It frustrated me to work in jobs for financial survival which I had little interest. Unwavering perseverance, listening to my intuition and developing my intuition over many years has served me well. Life challenges, lessons learned and the development of my special gifts always lead me in the direction of more fully standing in and living my purpose with creativity and enjoyment.
I am making a difference in the lives of others and the world.
