Michael: What are signs it’s time to make a change to be happier?
Michelle: From my experience, dissatisfaction is the greatest sign of a “soul unexpressed.” I believe full self-expression is one of our greatest gifts, and that it also leads to knowing our Purpose. I see Purpose as the most direct pathway to happiness, so I would say to anyone who is feeling discontent in anyway, but especially towards their work, that this is a sign to pay close attention to. Every emotion is a signal and being unfulfilled is pointing you to “something more.” And when you can let yourself just feel that you are not satisfied, accepting it as it is, and you can open to curiosity. Curiosity is the key because that allows you to open to new questions! New questions lead to new reality, a happier reality.
Michael: How does resistance get in the way of being on your life purpose?
Michelle: Resistance is what stands between the life you live and the unlived life within you. In my own life, I experienced resistance related to making a major change of lifestyle. You see, on a deeper level, I knew something was needing to change in my life, something big like a move of residence, but I did not want to think about leaving my comfort zone of living on the island and enjoying a quiet, simple life. Once I faced my fear, felt my way through it, and accepted my next step, all those physical symptoms subsided, and a new sense of self and a burst of energy became activated. Now, I know it is a natural step into taking my message of Everyday Enlightenment to a much bigger audience. When going through a major transition (divorce, career change, move, a financial challenge, living your PURPOSE) it is common to be in a state of negative emotional and mental overload that makes it difficult to think clearly and make wise decisions. So getting some quiet time helps with easing the resistance. You can ask “what am I resisting right now?” and keep asking until you hit on the emotional block.
Michael: What is # 1 reason people are blocked from destiny – fulfilling their life purpose?
Michelle: What I call the P.O.S. — personal operating system which is made up of past programming, stifling situations, limiting beliefs, and hidden barriers, which all lie in our conscious and subconscious domains. Many people suffer from the “Who am I” syndrome, and are more afraid of their light and power than anything else. I know I personally struggled with this for years. It is even reflected in my original coaching name, Brightlight coaching. I had a hard time accepting the person the divine created me to be and felt like I had to hide my light. This “misaligned” thinking kept me playing small, which served no one. When we overcome our POS and step into our Personal Power, Destiny and Purpose become our playmates. Because I have overcome that particular “glitch” I am very skilled at helping others move past it with ease and grace.
Michael: What are some of your processes that help set people free to succeed with their purpose?
Michelle: All of my Soul Purpose processes are experiential and creative, so they bypass the linear side of the mind. The reason many people have struggled with knowing their Purpose, is they are trying to figure it from logic, which will simply be frustrating. I have been given a few unique soul coaching processes as well. One is a “healing your inner saboteur” energetic alignment technique and the other a Soul Alignment process, which puts the soul back in charge of your decision-making. Throughout the Soul Purpose Accelerator Program, there are experiential assignments, including journaling, visualizing, and visioning—all of which tap into the wisdom of their own soul. Our soul knows who we are, why we are here, and how we can help. My ultimate job is to help my clients see the Truth of who they really are and access their true knowing, and then act on it.
