The best way out is always through. Robert Frost, A Servant to Servants
Emotional healing led me to study energy healing, which took me beyond my mind and psychology. For over forty years, I have received assistance in emotional and energy healing. The best way out is always through our emotions and feelings.
Most of us as children, however, grew up in families where we have been taught to hide, repress, and suppress our feelings. We have little or no skills in expression and communication of our feelings. Many times the family environment tends to be an unsafe place to voice anything.
Western society seldom honors being vulnerable or the honest healthy expression of feeling.
The following describes briefly my journey from numbness to being willing to feel, express, and be more present with whatever feelings or sensations I experienced in my body.
I grew up with an alcoholic father whose unvoiced pain dominated my mother and four younger siblings. Shouting matches between my parents over my father’s drinking was interspersed with periods of silence where everyone retreated inwardly to their separate corner of the two story farm-house. An atmosphere of emotions of anger, rage, fear, and depression ruled.
I withdrew for safety, numbed all types of feelings, including suppressing anger, and became depressed without ever knowing it.
I avoided expressing any types of emotions, for emotions meant pain. In later life, friends commented on my “stone face.”
The only way out is through. You have to feel it, to heal it. Dr. Barry Weinberg
We may only feel our physical pains. Emotional pain can lurk behind your physical agony. In my experience as a healer, emotional causes underlie most physical pain.
Robert Frost in the poem A Servant to Servants says, The best way out is always through. In the poem he refers to the only way out of struggle is through it.
In the Western, world we have been conditioned to avoid and suppress our pain, including emotional pain. On an energetic level this pain always festers inside us. It raises it’s head ever so often or sometimes quit often to let us know it still lives within us.
In this article, I suggest the only permanent way out of suffering means being present with and going through your physical and emotional pain.
Lana received a Bowen therapy healing session for physical discomfort above her left hip in the lower back. The pain subjectively registered eight out of ten in severity on the pain scale.
Solar flares can break apart old patterns that are no longer needed so new ones can emerge. This can make us feel hyper and exhausted all at the same time. Justin Mazza
Scientific evidence indicates the energies of solar flares will increase. Patricia Cota Robles, era of peace. org, says that solar light radiation now modifies our DNA, as well as does our emotional or feeling states.
How will these energies continue to affect us? How can Divine Grace assist us to heal our emotions and stress? What is the importance of our emotions during these times?
I have found my friends and I experience increased stress in our bodies. In other words, heightened unpleasant emotional states from our deep unconscious emerge which we may have partly or never healed. In addition, I have experienced in my life, in times of increased stress, the manifestation of psychological patterns I had thought healed. Either the patterns still existed at deeper levels or a fragment like a ghost memory of the pattern remained.
