How to Unlock Emotional Suffering into Divine Grace

February 25th, 2010

Divine GraceTo receive divine grace involves the surrender of our minds, fears, and physical and mental suffering of what we believe to be reality or truth to divine grace in whatever form it comes.

Creation is light and shadows both . . . Without suffering he (man) scarcely cares to recall he has forsaken his eternal home. Pain is a prod to remembrance. The way to escape is through wisdom. Yogananda, Autobiography of a Yogi

Yogananda, an Indian yogi, introduced the Western world to meditation and Kriya yoga for self-realization.

In his commentary on The Bhagavad Gita, the Hindu Bible, Yogananda explains the way to achieve liberation, which also means freedom from suffering. Yogananda talks about freedom in a spiritual way. I will interpret the same three methods as a way to overcome emotional suffering and emotional pain and receive divine grace, finally.
